24th Health commission meeting :
The meeting of the Health Concil of Meerut Diosease started at10:00am in the MSS hall. Sr. Jessica being the M.C, warm heartedly welcomed all the guests and participants for their valuable prencene for this meeting at MSS Conferrence Hall.
The meeting officially commenced prayer lead by Sr. Pushpa fslg asking the Lord for his wonderful presence and seeking His direction during the meeting to carry out this noble vocation to care and cure the sick. Followed by lighting of the lamp by the Guest of the meeting .
In his presidential address Chief guest talked about the need for the community, that is, for all of us, not only physical health which is important but also mental health which plays an important role in general health for the people. To serve the Lord one should be healthy. He improvised on the emotional touch as the patient should develop trust on us. Further, he expressed instead of doing different group activities we should come together now and work together. He added that this is an important meeting to make action plan. And for the next year being silver jubilee year all the institutions should come together for a common function.
Then she invited Guest of Honor to address the gathering. Sr. Gail principle of Sophia Girls' School Meerut addressed by saying that she feels “Health is Wealth”. And she expressed her gratitude to all health organizations working for the purpose of helping and health care of the poor in the Meerut.
Sr. Jessica thanked Sr. Gail and invited Sr. Dr. Liza to present the annual report.
Sr. Liza presented the annual report and the activities that were carried out with the kind support from Daurala Sugar mill as they sponsored 5000 sanitary pads which were distributed in the villages nearby Meerut and Sardhana. Camps were organized nearby villages around Meerut & Sardhana with the help of MSS. Vitamin A drops and iron tablets were given during the camps. In the locality awareness Camps were organized on personal hygiene and puberty.
Then Medical health center and hospitals gave the information on the activities conducted during the previous year i.e. 2019 –
Rampur
Home visits and awareness camps on cancer and health camps were organized and awareness camps on personal hygiene were also conducted. Under the government program sewage tank as made for the blood from ICU and wards. It could be reused after treatment .
Dasna Mussorie
Medical camps were organized for free diabetes test, HIV and TB Awareness camps, free blood sugar test and BP check up .
Roorkee
Roorkee Hospitals conducted the hemoglobin camp free of cost to 540 Patients.
On Girl Child Day free of cost 150 ultrasound were done. Free diabetes check up both at parish level and village level were also conducted.
Sr. Jessica welcomed Mr. Dr. Mayur Sharma and Mr. Jaikrit with flowers as they were the resource persons for the day.
SESSION 1: Session 1 was given by Mr. Dr. Mayur Sharma, MSc. Microbiologist & consultant for NABH.
He explained NABH in detail. NABH stands for National Accreditation board for hospitals and healthcare Providers.
He briefly explained each chapter such as- Service Display, care of patients, management of medication, Patients Right and education, Hospital Infection control, responsibility of management, facility management and service.
SESSION 2: Session 2 was given by Mr. Jaikrit, Zonal manger of Johnson & Johnson PVT LTD.
In order to prevent infection following should be well organized. First, Hand Hygiene, second, instruments and environment. To prevent infection through instrument disinfection and sterilization,is a must. He introduced STERRAD TECHNOLOGY as it sterilizes instruments at low temperature. He detailed his talkthrough presentation and as well as by video clippings .
SESSION 3: Session 3 was taken by Dr. Gurjeet Singh Gill, MBBS and Cardiologist.
Dr. Gurjeet explained about Hypertension and its risk. Various Ways to diagnosis hypertension, complication on kidneys, Lifestyle modification, Diagnosis Chest pain, Diet, Essential factors of hypertension, Complication of Retina, Complication of heart, Secondary Hypertension were discussed. The session went on well with questions and answers also by clearing the doubts of the participants.
The chief Guest Francis kalist stressed on the participation/representations from each Hospital and center from Covering Disticts with a soul intention to work together in achieving the common goal.
Sr. Dr. Liza, Secretary, Health Council of Meerut in her vote of thanks expressed her gratitude towards the Chief Guest, Guest of Honor and all the participants. Finally stressed the need for strengthening the Health Council and conducting regular meetings of the Council and requested all member institutions for their active participation. The meeting came to an end at 4:00 PM.
