For mainstreaming the vulnerable youth in the mainstream of society, the organisaiton has recently taken up the task of capacitating drop-out youth through skill development. Eligible drop-out youth have been identified from the villages and linked to the training centres of the organisation to undertake skills building programs.
These include:
- Driving and four-wheeler mechanism
- Electric work
- Plumbing
- Carpentry
- Jewellery making
- Tailoring and embroidery,
- Apparel and garment manufacturing,
- Beautician
- Mushroom Cultivation and Vermi Compost Production.
After completing the courses, the trainees are also guided to find suitable employment or undertake self-employment. The task is aimed at reducing the vulnerability of the youth by enabling them to access skills and a sustainable income. The agencies like Ministry of Rural Development, GoI, FVTRS, Bangalore and UKSVK have been supporting the organisation to empower the vulnerable youth.
