Director's Message

In the challenging yet profoundly rewarding field of social work, we are constantly reminded of the immense power of human connection and collective action.  Here at Meerut Seva Samaj, we have always strived to be a forerunner in this endeavour, pioneering initiatives and extending our reach to those who need us most.

Baba Amte, a titan of compassion and the great beacon of social change in India, for the marginalized, once profoundly stated: "I don’t want to be a leader, I want to be one who holds a lantern and shows the way." This sentiment perfectly encapsulates the spirit of Meerut Seva Samaj. We are not here to dictate, but to empower; not to dominate, but to illuminate paths to dignity and self-reliance for those who need it most. Our role is to walk alongside individuals and communities, offering guidance, support, and the tools they need to build a better future for themselves.

In dedicating ourselves to the well-being of others, we discover our own strengths, our purpose, and the profound satisfaction that comes from contributing to a more just and equitable world. It reminds us that our personal growth is intrinsically linked to the positive impact we create in the lives of those we serve.

I'm overwhelmed with immense pride and gratitude to all of you, the true pillars of support for Meerut Seva Samaj. Your unwavering dedication is the very backbone of our social service initiatives here in Meerut and beyond. To our dedicated staff, tireless field workers, compassionate volunteers, passionate advocates, generous benefactors, and invaluable stakeholders – including our supporting partners like Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Caritas India, Manos Unidas, Diocese of Rottenburg, Missio Belgium, Missio München, Communio India, Friends of Sacred Heart, UKSVK, Misereor, Arch Diocese Cologne, and Daurala Sugar Mill – thank you. Your unwavering dedication is the very backbone of MSS Social Service. As Meerut Seva Samaj moves forward, we eagerly anticipate your continuous partnership and guidance, which is vital for us to create a lasting, meaningful impact for our beneficiaries and the Nation as a whole.

With gratitude.
