The diocese organized a residential Bharatanatyam training program at Meerut Seva Samaj for 38 young girls, aimed at promoting this classical dance form and creating opportunities for them. Alongside intensive dance training, the program integrated spiritual enrichment through daily Holy Mass, catechism classes, rosary prayers, and spiritual talks.
The initiative was coordinated by Rev. Fr. Jomon Joseph, Rev. Fr. Claston, Mr. Mathews, Rev. Sr. Lizza (FSLG), Rev. Sr. Rose (FSLG), and Rev. Sr. Salvi (CMC), with structured dance sessions led by three instructors—Mrs. Shilpa Donald, Ms. Serena, and Ms. Tanu. Students were also educated on personal development, health, and discipline while being provided with nutritious meals and holistic care.
The training fostered confidence, discipline, spiritual growth, and artistic excellence among the participants. Many of the girls are now performing at parish feasts, school festivals, and competitions, using their skills to both celebrate culture and glorify God.
